Since its inception in 2007, the Gulf Western Oil Touring Car Masters has rapidly grown to become one of Australia’s premier racing categories. Bowe, Johnson, Tilley, and Fisher are just a few of the longstanding names in the world of Motorsport that feature in this incredible category.
In TCM, classic Ford Falcons and Holden Torana’s go head to head with Chevrolet Camaros and Ford Mustangs, with other popular machines including a Valliant Pacer, Ford Capri, Holden Monaros, Chrysler Chargers and more.
Australia and New Zealand will go head-to-head in a Trans-Tasman battle of the Muscle Cars at the VAILO Adelaide 500 this November. A fleet of cars from Touring Car Masters New Zealand will travel to Australia to compete against the stars and cars of the Gulf Western Oil Touring Car Masters Series for the final two rounds this year. Up to a dozen cars will cross the Tasman, offering fans a field of more than 30 cars at both major events that conclude the 2023 season.
Driver Highlight - John Bowe
Six-time TCM champion JOHN BOWE announced that he will step back from full-season commitments in the category following a final celebratory ‘Testimonial Tour’ this season. Bowe will say ‘Ciao for Now’ and will compete in his final full-time Gulf Western Oil Touring Car Masters Series in 2023. Read a full story by Touring Car Masters here.
