What’s the best way to fundraise? What works and what doesn’t?
This is a very individual thing and changes year to year depending on the Charity’s goals, resources, and cause. Our best recommendation from the get-go is to develop a fundraising and activities plan that incorporates activities both at the event and outside or in the lead up to the event.
It is important to note that, the Charity is responsible for their own fundraising plan and the event management of any events that you want to plan or host as part of the partnership.
Can the Charity use the Adelaide 500 track for a fundraising event?
It’s not a flat out “no”, but there are restrictions and strict safety measures that require you to have a very good, well thought out idea before you come to us. The easiest way is to utilise hospitality facilities on the Wednesday or Thursday of event week.
Can the Charity access drivers?
Unfortunately, as Supercars Australia manage contact with drivers and teams we cannot promise driver engagement and appearances. Contact will need to be made directly with Supercar or other category teams through a charity’s own channels.
Can the Charity sell merchandise at the event?
Yes, they can! We’re happy to talk through ideas with the Charity too. When we provide space to a charity appointed as the Charity the one thing we will need is a list of all the merchandise they would like to sell, just to check it doesn’t conflict too much with the event’s merchandise.
When is bump in and bump out if we are looking to have an activation space?
Bump in occurs during the week of the event, with bump out commencing on the Monday immediately after the event, with all Charity items removed by the Tuesday following the event.
We will make sure you have the appropriate site passes and inductions.
If we have been a Charity partner in the past can we apply again?
We’re going to be raising a lot of money at the event, can we keep it locked in the event offices?
Unfortunately, no. We suggest all charities hire a secure transport company such as Armguard to securely store and transport your hard-earned fundraising from the event.
