About the Adelaide 500
The Adelaide 500, a round of the Repco Supercars Championship, is Australia's largest domestic motor sport event.
The Adelaide Street Circuit is world renowned both for the excellent racing and the race atmosphere that takes over the city. The 3.219 km (2.000 mi) circuit has played host for the Adelaide 500 Supercars event since 1999 to 2023 (Note the event was cancelled in 2021).
The Adelaide 500 is Australia’s largest domestic ticketed motorsport event and will be on from 14-17 November 2024 as the season finale event for the Repco Supercars Championship.
2024 will be the 25th time the cars will make their way around the famous street circuit. The event program is well advanced and will include a significant number of events across the action packed weekend including driver autograph sessions, exotic vehicle displays, sideshows, family entertainment and much more.
As the action on the track draws to a close, the action off the track revs up with some of Australia’s and the worlds biggest acts taking to the stage in the scenic surrounds of the Adelaide parklands.
The significance of the Adelaide 500 as an event of true national and international renown was highlighted in 2005 when the legendary motor sport authority Murray Walker, while visiting the event for the first time, described it as the ‘best touring car event in the world’.
