The VAILO Adelaide 500 is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible precinct for all our guests. It offers a range of accessibility options and facilities to ensure all patrons have an enjoyable event experience.
Accessible Seating
- There are three raised platforms that are ticketed seats for companion cardholders with one (1) seat for personal assistants, companions or guests included in the ticket. Each accessible space is ground-marked. These seats are in the Hairpin West Accessible Grandstand, Senna Accessible Platform and the Inside Chicane Accessible Grandstand.
Ticketed Platforms
Accessible Hairpin Platform:
- T14 Hairpin West is a covered accessibility platform available as a four-day ticket only. The ticket price is $335 concession.
- Please note: all accessibility platforms allow for 1 x accompanying carer with each patron included in their ticket price.
To purchase your tickets, please view the available grandstands via our website - The nearest accessibility marked car park access is the public car park entry off Fullarton Road just south of Gate 10, or Car Park A entry via Gate 1A off East Terrace. Car Park A requires a vehicle pass – patrons should email adelaide500@sa.gov.au to request.
Accessible Senna Platform:
- Turn 1 Chicane is an un-covered platform available as a four-day and single-day ticket. Ticket prices are $250 concession for four days.
- The nearest accessibility marked car park access is within the public car park entry off Fullarton Road just south of Gate 10, or Car Park A entry via Gate 1A off East Terrace. Car Park A requires a vehicle pass – patrons should email adelaide500@sa.gov.au to request. Please note: all accessibility platforms allow for 1 x accompanying carer with each patron included in their ticket price. - Please ensure that your powered wheelchair or scooter is fully charged as there are no charging points within the public seating areas.
Accessible Chicane Platform:
- Turn 1 Chicane is a covered platform available as a four-day and single-day ticket. Ticket prices are $335 concession for four days.
- The nearest accessibility marked car park access is within the public car park entry off Fullarton Road just south of Gate 10, or Car Park A entry via Gate 1A off East Terrace. Car Park A requires a vehicle pass – patrons should email adelaide500@sa.gov.au to request.
- Please note: all accessibility platforms allow for 1 x accompanying carer with each patron included in their ticket price. To purchase your tickets, please view the available grandstands via our website
- Please ensure that your powered wheelchair or scooter is fully charged as there are no charging points within the public seating areas.
- Assistance dogs are welcome in the precinct.
- Assistance dogs are allowed on the accessible platforms if the patron is holding a valid ticket
- There is an unshaded accessibility viewing platform at the concert site for concert viewing from 5:30pm. This is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- There is 1 accessibility viewing platform located at the Concert Oval. This platform is for patrons who are mobility impaired necessitating the use of a wheel chair. A carer can accompany the patron. The platform is not ticketed, meaning access to the platform is subject to its capacity. The platform is staffed by security.
- Patrons who need to use amenities that are provided near the platform will be granted time to leave and return to the accessible platform without losing their place on the platform.
The Companion Card provides free entry for your companion or carer. The SAMSB accepts the Companion Card in the following areas:
- General Admission
- Accessible Ticket Platforms
- Concert Viewing
*Please note, that we do not accept the Companion Card within corporate hospitality facilities.
*You may be required to provide details of your Companion Card when booking or show your card in person.
- All main entries to the precinct are accessible for wheelchair users, semi-ambulant visitors and those accompanied by assistance dogs. Ramps and lifts are used extensively around and within the precinct to provide safe access for wheelchair or mobility-impaired visitors.
- Hidden Disabilities Gate
- Gate 9 will shine a spotlight on the globally recognised symbol for hidden disabilities, the gold and green sunflower! People with hidden disabilities will be able to access wayfinding support from security and volunteers and this gate is positioned close to the sensory space, parents lounge and change place.
- At various times throughout the day, track crossing is permitted. The times for the track crossings are:

- Please note that these times are not final and subject to change.
- General Admission areas are all mobility-friendly with track crossings located near each of the overpasses that operate at regular intervals, as well as a tunnel that goes under the track near the chicane.
- There are also gravel/bitumen pathways from the gates through the various event areas to the grandstands and platforms with accessibility.
- There is a naturally raised area on Brock Straight with good track views and shade from trees. This area is available on a first come, first served basis with chairs available for accompanying carers.
- The nearest accessibility marked car park access is on Dequetteville Terrace with entry via Gate 7. To request an accessibility marked parking pass patrons should email adelaide500@sa.gov.au.

- Platinum Suite – lift access
- Pit Exit Suite – ramp access

There are several baby change tables located in the precinct.
SACARE and VAILO500 team up to drive inclusivity and accessibility right into the heart of the action. Our dedicated space caters to the medical and bathroom needs of attendees living with disability, right amid the VALO Adelaide 500 festivities.
The spacious ‘pod’– is a state-of-the-art change room facility, equipped with a height-
adjustable change table and hoist, providing a dignified and hygienic space for personal
care. This isn’t just about meeting basic needs–it’s about offering a space that respects the dignity of every individual.
The SACARE Carers Lounge is free to access and will be open from 8am to 6pm every day of the race. SACARE has spent over 28 years committed to elevating the experiences of our disability community. You’ll find them next to St John’s Ambulance – Grandstand Five! To find out more head to their website.
The Office for Autism will host a sensory space in an airconditioned building for people with disabilities who may require a break in a low sensory environment. The sensory space will be wheelchair accessible and supported by the Office of Autism.
Ticket offices are located outside the entry gates 1,6 and 10. There is one accessible ticket window near each entrance with an accessible-height counter.

The VAILO Adelaide precinct has ten large video screens for close-up vision of the action and all public information messages.
The concert precinct also has multiple screens for the vision of the stage.
