The event will endeavour to minimise disruptions and public road closures before, during and after the VAILO Adelaide 500. Regular and accurate updates will be provided as required.

Community Information

Some areas within Victoria Park / Pakapakanthi (Park 16) will be restricted for pedestrians and cyclists during the event build and dismantle. These restrictions will be implemented across five phases to adhere to Work, Health and Safety legislation. Further information of each of the phases will be available on the Adelaide 500 website.

All public traffic, both vehicular and pedestrian, will be prohibited from accessing the precinct from 12:01am Wednesday 13 November until 11:59pm Sunday 17 November 2024 (5 days)

The pedestrian / bike path across Victoria Park / Pakapakanthi (Park 16) that links Fullarton Road to Halifax Street will have restricted access at times during the build and dismantle phases and will be closed between 12:01am Wednesday 13 November until 11:59pm Sunday 17 November 2024 (5 days). These dates will be indicated by signs at each end of the path prior to closure.

Drive Day will take place on Wednesday 13 November 2024 from 6:30am – 2:00pm. The Drive Day is an organised activity for high performance road cars to utilise the full circuit. A maximum of 20 cars will be on the circuit at one time lapping under controlled conditions.
