Tyrepower V8 SuperUtes

The V8 SuperUtes Series is the modern iteration of Australian ute racing which debuted in Australia at the Adelaide street circuit back in 2001.

It may look like the Tyrepower V8 SuperUtes drivers are out of control as they slide sideways into corners and knock eachother out of their way to make a pass but rest assured – that’s just ute racing.

Ute racing was born on the streets of Adelaide back in 2001 and the event would not be in the same in its 25th year without the support category. It now showcases the modern-day race iteration of the legendary Australian work vehicle, with about 20 dual-cab utes – race-modified with petrol V8-engines and lowered suspension systems – to feature at the VAILO Adelaide 500 in 2024.

Team Motion Racing driver Aaron Borg will be hoping to have clinched another championship when he lines up on the grid in Adelaide but long-time ute competitors Ryal Harris, Adam Marjoram and David Sieders will be among those who will stop at nothing to beat him. Also on the line this year is bragging rights with the return of the Tradies Cup awarded to the driver and team that scores the most points across the weekend’s races.
