VAILO Adelaide 500 awarded best event of the year for third consecutive time

The VAILO Adelaide 500 has been named the prestigious Supercars Best Event of the Year of 2024, the third consecutive time the fan-favourite event has won the award.

 

Awarded at Supercars annual Gala Awards at the Adelaide Convention Centre last night, the VAILO Adelaide 500 beat other nominees including the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 and the Repco Bathurst 1000.

 

Continuing to claim the top prize since the event’s return to the Repco Supercars calendar in 2022, it proves the VAILO Adelaide 500 is recognised nationally for allowing fans to go ALL IN for quality on and off-track entertainment.

 

Chair of the South Australian Motor Sport Board, Andrew Daniels, said: “Three Best Event of the Year awards in a row is extraordinary, particularly in our 25th year on the Adelaide Street Circuit running the VAILO Adelaide 500 for the Repco Supercars Championship.

 

“We are absolutely focused on putting on the best possible stage for which the Repco Supercars teams and drivers can perform, and that action throughout the four days in 2024 was unbelievable.

 

“Everyone was over the moon with the incredible show and I want to thank the surprisingly small but incredibly hardworking team headed by Mark Warren at the South Australian Motor Sport Board.

 

“In this business, our competition is after us and we have to make sure that the VAILO Adelaide 500 keeps getting better and better to stay ahead of an incredibly tight competition to be the Best Event of the Year.

 

“Looking ahead to 2025, it will be an amazing year with the new finals series, and it’ll happen right here in Adelaide in 12 months time.”

 

 

The 2025 VAILO Adelaide Grand Final takes place 27 – 30 November after close to 260,000 people attended the event in 2024.
