The inaugural race of the Gen3 era in Adelaide will bring a thrilling new dimension to the championship race. The 2023 season has seen 8 different race winners and a championship title fight closer than ever with the top 2 only separated by 130 points. The 2023 Repco Supercars Championship will be the first time Adelaide experiences the new Gen3 car and ruleset. 

“It’s been fantastic so far — you can literally follow directly behind someone,” Kostecki said in Melbourne. "The main thing about this car was to fix the racing. Now we can follow a lot closer, there have been more passing manoeuvres".
