2024 VAILO Adelaide 500 Schools Day presented by National Motor Museum and History Trust of SA

 

Make the VAILO Adelaide 500 your classroom on Thursday 14 November 2024. The 2024 Schools Day is the perfect opportunity to learn about motorsport, engineering and have an awesome day out.

 

Once again, this year’s Schools Day is free for all students, teachers and guardians. You and your students can enjoy all the on and off track action including the (exclusive to Adelaide) Boost Mobile Stadium Super Trucks, the opportunity to participate in exclusive Junior Press Conference and more!

 

All registered Schools will receive:

  • Entry on Thursday 14 November for all registered schools
  • Pit Stop Path activity book for each student
  • Entry to the Supercars Paddock behind Pit Lane
  • Plus, all the on and off-track action on Thursday!

 

This year, schools are welcome to register their interest in a driver visit pre-event (date and time TBC) and participate in the Junior Press Conference!

Once again for this year, all Schools that register for the 2024 VAILO Adelaide 500 Schools Day can register for the ‘Driver Visit’ before the event.

Before the 2024 VAILO Adelaide 500, a School will be randomly selected to receive a visit from a Supercars driver. The VAILO Adelaide 500 team will work with the School to accommodate the visit prior to the event.

Once again for this year, all Schools that register for the 2024 VAILO Adelaide 500 Schools Day can register for the ‘Junior Press Conference’.

A small group of students from a number of Schools will be selected to participate in the highly regarded Junior Press Conference. This is an opportunity for students to ask their burning questions to some of the 2024 Supercars Drivers on Thursday 14 November!

National Motor Museum & History Trust SA

The National Motor Museum will have the “The Shrike racing car at the VAILO Adelaide 500, which was developed in Adelaide by students at the Croydon Park Institute of TAFE in 1988 and 1989.  Children will be guided by take-home work sheets or can use their imagination to design their dream vehicle. Teachers can collect great classroom resources developed by the History Trust of South Australia’s Education Team and enter a competition to win a classroom Lego set valued at $250AUD.
