When you need to fuel up to get through a big day and night at the track, one of Adelaide’s best food trucks and beverage kiosks won’t be far away.

More than 50 of Adelaide’s best food trucks and beverage kiosks will be trackside at the VAILO Adelaide 500 this year, ready to serve you with delectable treats whenever hunger or thirst strikes.

You’ll find something to curb your cravings at almost every corner of the circuit but these are the best places to grab a meal, snack, dessert or a drink.

PUB IN THE PARK

New to the VAILO Adelaide 500 this year is Pub in the Park, located near the concert area alongside Highway 500.

The precinct is open to all ticketholders, providing a space to escape the heat of the on-track action during the day with a coffee and bacon and egg burger in the morning or a bao bun for lunch.

It also provides all the fuel you’ll need to party into the night at the concerts, also offering woodfired pizzas and burgers.

HOMESTART FAMILY ZONE

While the kids are making the most of the activities in the HomeStart Family Zone, parents can take a moment to relax with a coffee.

Juice is a healthier purchase for kids after they’ve worked up a thirst, while takeaway food can be bought to have a picnic under the shade of the trees.

PIT STRAIGHT GOLD ZONE

A favourite place among grandstand ticketholders to catch up with friends over a drink and a bite to eat is the Pit Straight Gold Zone.

Only accessible to grandstand ticketholders, the area has cuisine to suit any taste, whether it’s slow-cooked meals, schnitzels, pizza, seafood, Vietnamese, souvlaki or cheesesteaks.

Caffeinate with a coffee or slurp on a slushie. Don’t forget a doughnut for dessert!

SPEEDWAY DISTRICT

A food and beverage hub can be found west and south of the NAPA Speedway track built at CBC Oval, providing delicious meals for fans during the day as well as the evening speedway events.

The outlets here have a multicultural flair, with Indian, Turkish, Greek, Moroccan, Italian and Asian flavours alongside American favourites such as nachos, burgers and hot dogs.

Vegans are catered for, while juice will be a refreshing pick-me-up for all at any time of day, before indulging in an icecream cone or donut.

FEATURE PADDOCK 2

If looking through all support category pits, learning new things from the exhibitors or trying out the activations doesn’t work up an appetite, nothing will.

Traditional food truck fare such as dagwood dogs, pizza, cheesesteaks and donuts will be available near Feature Paddock 2, next to the Supercross track.

ACTION HOTSPOTS

If you’ve found a spot to settle near an on-track action hotspot, whether in general admission or a grandstand, there is a food or beverage stall nearby to purchase a treat during your day.

General admission ticketholders will be able to grab refreshments to enjoy while seeing the cars up close at Inside Turn 9, Inside Chicane, Turn 11, Turn 12 and Pit Exit, or from the V8 Nation paddock if they want to watch the race cars get up to speed along Brock Straight.

Grandstand ticketholders also have exclusive access to vendors located in the Gold Zones at the Hairpin or Brock stands.

BYO PICNIC

Motorsport fans can bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages into the circuit in a backpack or cooler bag to enjoy anywhere within the precinct.

There are many good spots to sit down on a blanket or a folding chair for a picnic and relax away from the crowds.

The area between Turns 3 and 7 as well as Turns 8 to 9 provides ample shade and space to sprawl.

The lawned slope alongside Brock Straight near V8 Nation is a good place to sit in the sun, while during the day, the Concert Area provides space to sit and take a break.
