SACARE joins VALO Adelaide 500

The VALO Adelaide 500 and SACARE will join forces at this year’s event with the introduction of the SACARE Carers Lounge at the 2022 VALO Adelaide 500.

 

This will be the first time that the VALO Adelaide 500 will have a specially designed and dedicated space for carers, support workers, families and people with a disability.

 

The SACARE Lounge will have an increased focus on inclusivity and fun, with the SACARE Carers Lounge catering for sensory, medical and bathroom needs in one convenient stop and providing a space to take some time out from the VALO Adelaide 500 festivities.

 

A spokesperson from SACARE said “We are proud to partner with the VALO Adelaide 500 with the introduction of the first-ever SACARE Carers Lounge and we can’t wait to see it come to life.

 

“Ensuring that all major events in South Australia have an accessible space is vital to supporting carers and people living with a disability and giving them a chance to take a time out and recharge.

 

Located in the Family Zone, the layout will feature two transportable pods connected with a private outdoor area.

 

The space will be fitted out with high-tech multisensory equipment designed to bring surfaces to life and create audio-visual effect responses assisting with positive mood, engagement, and emotional regulation.

 

A dedicated kitchen and lounge offering complimentary tea, coffee and access to a kettle and microwave will be available to cater for all heating and preparation of feeding regimes.

 

The SACARE Carers Lounge will have a fully accessible change room along with a private and spacious area with height adjustable change bed, mobile hoist, handwashing and hygienic stations and an accessible bathroom.
